Java Software Engineer in Bristol, CT (on-site)

Java Engineer Location: Onsite in Bristol, CT We are seeking a skilled Java Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bristol, CT. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for developing robust systems and working in a collaborative environment. Key Requirements: At least 2 years of professional experience in Java development. Experience with cloud technologies is highly preferred. Ability to work onsite in Bristol, especially during training and initial oversight. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A passion for sports is a plus. Familiarity with entertainment or media industries is desirable. Experience working in a large enterprise environment is advantageous. Interview Process: Step 1: 30-minute initial screening. Step 2: 1-hour technical panel interview. Responsibilities: Application Development (50%) Participate in requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, and deployment. Maintain and enhance existing systems to support a high-performance environment. Troubleshooting and Support (30%) Collaborate with team members to resolve complex engineering issues involving high-traffic web services and APIs. Contribute to the on-call rotation for issue resolution. Scalability and Innovation (20%) Propose and implement improvements to ensure our data platform is scalable, resilient, and reliable. Stay updated with emerging technologies and share insights with the team. Basic Qualifications: 2 years of experience in software engineering. Exposure to developing high-volume, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems. Hands-on experience with the full application development lifecycle, including unit testing, code reviews, and documentation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and related open-source technologies, such as: Spring Framework Tomcat MySQL Kafka Elasticsearch Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
