Planning / Production Engineer - The Role: An exciting position has become available for a full-time Planning/Production Engineer based in Berkshire Wokingham. Tasks and responsibilities. Collaborate with production managers to ensure optimum productivity and timely completion of orders and resolving any production issues to ensure customer requirements are met. Assist in expediting and prioritizing work orders when needed. Build routings and create BOM'S (Bill of Materials) for parts to provide accurate costs and times to FD to improve costing accuracy in EFACS. Maintain quality and enforce organization standards. Compliance at all times with our Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental framework and responsibilities. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned/required. Planning / Production Engineer - Skills/Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate will have a flexible attitude to work, along with the ability to work unsupervised. Previous hands-on experience gained in a shopfloor role would be ideal. Proactive with a can do attitude. Good communication skills. Attention to detail. Able to multitask and prioritise. Able to use your own initiative as well as working as part of a team. Able to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution. Computerised MRP system experience would be beneficial. Should have an analytical approach to problem resolution. Must be flexible in approach, willing take on other tasks and be responsive to changing demands and situations. Training will be given on products however a good engineering mechanical knowledge would be an advantage.
