DevOps Engineer

Arizona area - onsite - seed stage Robotics Defense Org

From $130,000 - $155,000 + equity

Passionate about contributing to the defense of the US & it's allies? Want to be involved in cutting edge robotics tech, and work on a greenfield environment, being able to set up the infra from scratch? Then read on...

You would join a tight-knit, seed stage robotics defense business with over $14M in seed funding. Having been founded last year, they are growing due to demand, following successful Seed-stage investment and contract wins, the company are scaling production and looking to double their team size over the next 12 months.

One of the roles is a DevOps Professional with SysAdmin/Onprem exp to own all things DevOps in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CI/CD Management: Oversee CI/CD for code pushes, pull requests, and automated builds. Create a binary deployment mechanism for seamless delivery.
  • Configuration Management: Implement configuration management for robotic systems, which are all unique and manually configured ("snowflakes").
  • DOD Compliance: Handle DOD compliance requirements. Familiarity with government compliance and security regulations is a huge plus.
  • Integration with DOD Tools: Familiarity with SonarQube, Nessus, and related tools for the DOD Authority to Operate (ATO) process is ideal, as these tools will integrate into the CI environment.
  • Infrastructure Development: Design and build from scratch, creating a clean sheet design. They have the essentials (SonarQube, Docker), but there’s plenty of room to elevate our systems.

Any nice to have experience:

  • Linux Administration: Strong skills in Linux scripting and configuration.
  • Robotics Experience *Nice to have): Experience with hands-on hardware, particularly in a robotics context, is beneficial. You’ll be working in a mostly on-premises environment.
  • DOD/Military Compliance Experience: Any prior experience with DOD compliance, especially related to DevOps, is highly valuable.
  • Familiarity with ROS2: Experience with ROS2 (Robot Operating System) is a bonus, particularly with SENNO.

On offer:

  • Clean Slate Design Opportunity: Bring your vision to life in a nearly blank-canvas DevOps environment.
  • Focus on Performance: We prioritize high performance and quality, and we’re looking for someone who can bring that same commitment to our DevOps processes.
  • Smart Team - working with the likes of ex Nasa engineers
  • Equity

Notes:

  • this is an onsite role, so you need to be in Arizona or happy to relocate
  • this role will require security clearence - so only US Nationals are able to apply at this point
