IT Service Desk Manager – Insurance/Lloyd’s experience Sector: Insurance Salary: up to £70,000 Bonus pension Location: London, UK Position Type: Full-Time We are seeking a dedicated IT Service Desk Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the IT Service Desk. The ideal candidate will act as an escalation point for the team and customers, lead by example, and strive to deliver a top-tier, customer-focused, and proactive user support service. This role involves effective management of IT suppliers to ensure IT systems align with business goals and objectives, and efficient management of key IT controls, such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) policies and processes. Additionally, the IT Service Desk Manager will oversee various IT projects of varying sizes and complexity, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with proven Service Desk management experience to grow a proactive, collaborative, and forward-thinking IT Service Desk team. Duties and Accountabilities: Continuous Development and Improvement of IT Service Desk: Proactive oversight and automation for: • Service Desk performance and MI reporting • Incident and request fulfillment • Identity and Access Management, including application recertification and JML process • User hardware provisioning • Software installations • Asset tracking • License management • End User Computing (EUC) Documentation management, including: Policy ownership, Process writing, Procedure creation, User training documentation, IT inductions Other Responsibilities: • Supplier management to ensure effective resolution of all incidents, requests, and problems • Resource management, including team meetings, 1:1s, objective and performance management, rota, etc. • Oversight of daily checks • Ensuring effective IT support at the office and Lloyd’s • Oversee and manage projects such as PC updates, rollouts, hardware refreshes, etc. • Involvement in other ad hoc tasks or projects as they arise Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Proven experience in a similar role; insurance/Lloyd’s market experience Technically competent with comprehensive knowledge of: • Windows 11 • Office • Azure Entra • Azure Admin • Teams Admin • Exchange • SharePoint • Citrix • Exposure to applications such as OpenBox, Impact, DocoSoft, RMS, Workday, ProCede (ideal but not essential) • Experience supporting AV/Media support, Crestron technology, Signage Live (ideal but not essential) Sound good?
