£70,000 - 83,000 | Lead Data Engineer | Full Time | Remote | AWS | EC2 | SQL | Redshift | Data Strategy | Data Modelling I am looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join an exciting Scale-up based in the South West who work remotely; quarterly visits to their offices are required for a ‘Town Hall’. It’s a great time to join as they were recently acquired by a world leader in their respective field. The company is currently a team of around 80 people and they’re seeking a Lead Data Engineer to come in and shape their data function to drive real business growth. They are going through a scale-up phase, and you will have the licence to recruit into the team. IMPORTANT - The right candidate will be someone with strong business/commercial acumen; someone who is innovative and prepared to make difficult business decisions. Which of your skills will be used? Minimum 4 years working in a Data Engineering position (Or similar). You must have hands on experience working on cloud – AWS preferred but Azure or GCP is fine. Knowledge of Data Warehousing techniques, ideally using Redshift. Business acumen and Data Strategy. Data Modelling and SQL. Experience in managing small teams. Agile development methodologies.
