The supply chain strategy and performance excellence department are responsible for the provision of expert supply chain strategy and operational advice to clients that function within a fast-moving global environment. The team is made up of subject matter experts that work to the Head of Consulting to deliver the client mandate. Management consulting is problem-solving. Organisations today face many problems which affect their ability to perform. With the ever-changing landscape and the emergence of innovative technologies, organisations need to evolve faster than ever. They need help to identify, design and implement the changes using P3M methodologies and techniques that are vital to their economic health. Our consultants supply their P3M expertise to help our clients attain their performance ambition. Reporting to the Manager and working directly with the client the consultant is responsible for the provision of independent expert advice to help identify and solve challenges, increase value, and maximise business efficiency and profitability. Using established processes whilst working with the client’s senior leadership and support staff the consultant will assist in the creation of strategies, processes optimisation and identifying solutions to meet client needs. Squarcle consultants work across both project delivery and business development: Delivery: Squarcle management consultants work to supply solutions to the client’s changing business needs. The scope of engagements is highly variable and can include core strategy development, large scale implementation, process optimisation, change management, and innovative technology introduction. Business development: Squarcle places an emphasis on leading sector thinking in the development of latest ideas. This can include producing white papers and internal research on relevant changes occurring in the sector and the impact of the general economy. Primary Roles and Responsibilities As one of our P3M Consultants you will be able to: Use your P3M Qualifications and experience to deliver or advise on Programmes, Projects and PMOs for clients and/or manage internal projects and ways of working using P3M and Project Controls tools and techniques. Be able to understand a variety of business environments to enable you to tailor P3M strategies effectively. Demonstrate flexibility to undertake and deliver across a variety of P3M and PMO role profiles. Lead, support and participate fully on project and programme teams or as part of a PMO. Work collaboratively with Stakeholders both within and beyond the client’s business using effective communications and strong relationship-building skills. Define the project or task scope, plan, and procurement artefacts e.g. Statements of Requirement (SOR), Business Cases, Project Initiation Document and Project Management Plan. Advise clients on best practice and create and maintain the full scope of P3M artefacts and documents. Ensure that project scope and schedules are met within the specified time and financial constraints using appropriate P3M or generic toolsets. Develop and implement governance structures, while helping to drive meeting structure and discussion. Deliver P3M presentations to facilitate the upskilling of clients or colleagues to enhance their capabilities and share best practice. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall P3M processes and delivery. Continuously seek to develop your P3M skills, learning from a range of sources, including formal training, learning from experience, and coaching and mentoring. Conduct analysis, review findings and present coherent solutions to the client. Curate P3M data, using both internal and external resources. As a Squarcle consultant you will be able to: Deliver to Squarcle standards and meet client's expectations demonstrating ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Develop and strengthen client relationships and trust through acting with integrity. Ensure quality products and services are delivered on time, in scope and meet Squarcle’s quality standard for all deliverables. Secondary Roles and Responsibilities Performance management of staff. Develop and refine Squarcle methods. Support to wider team activities e.g., knowledge sessions, recruitment etc. Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Essential) Bachelor’s degree (2:1) or higher in a related subject. 2 years Management Consulting industry experience. One or more P3M certifications (APM, Prince2, Equivalent Agile Qualification e.g Leading SAFe, Lean). Work as part of multi-disciplinary teams that may be from multiple organisations. Have strong communicate skills, with an ability to communicate clearly, confidently, to the highest standard, in your written, presentational, and day to day work. Persuade and influence people. Have comprehensive knowledge of P3M delivery (E.g. Agile, Waterfall, Lean, etc). Manage and control project or task Cost, Time & Scope, Risk and Change. Find pragmatic solutions to often conflicting constraints. Carefully build, maintain, and manage client relationships. Deliver projects and tasks to outstanding quality requirements, where required assist in the execution of administrative duties on client accounts. Be comfortable developing and delivering P3M coaching to colleagues to help transfer your knowledge and skills, either internally or with clients. Successful candidates must be prepared to apply for, and pass security clearance, before they are appointed. Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Desirable) Experience of working in Supply Chain Sales and Operations. P3M assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement. S&OP training (APICS, CPIM, CIPs or CILT). Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Visio. Ability to structure and manage intensive workloads. High degree of emotional intelligence to effectively deal with increasingly diverse clients and teams. Confidence and maturity to work with senior executives. Experience of capability and acquisition in Defence. Experience of Defence especially Defence approvals, incl. the writing of Review Notes, Main Gate Business Cases etc. Privacy Policy - Squarcle Consulting Ltd
