Project Manager

SPG Resourcing are working with one of their best clients to support them in hiring an IT Project Manager. Location: Leeds/Hybrid Salary: up to £68,000 The role: Leads projects from inception through to deployment Builds and develops the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation Establishes and maintains relationships with relevant stakeholders, providing regular contact on project status and changes Identifies barriers and impediments to progress and offers suggestions on how to address them Drives decision making, ensuring decisions are timely and recorded to ensure progress and accountability Adherence to the organisation’s delivery frameworks (Waterfall and Agile) Uses experience and influence to support the adoption and/or optimisation of agile ways of working by instilling knowledge, and developing processes and practices within teams, and constructively challenging traditional ways of working/attitudes/behaviours, as required Skills, experience and characteristics: Five or more years of project management experience Professional certification such as PRINCE2, Agile Project Management Able to handle multiple priorities, in a fast-paced and challenging environment Able to build trust and rapport to develop effective relationships, internally and externally Leadership – ability to drive engagement, growth, and development of the team through creating a culture of psychological safety and enabling the ambition of autonomy and empowerment of the team through providing context, and increasing capability and ownership Coaching – ability to help and encourage individuals and teams to improve performance Stakeholder Management - establishing relationships, analysing perspectives, and managing stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. Adapting stakeholder engagement style to meet the needs of different audiences.
