Title : Embedded Software Engineer Location : Carol Stream, IL Duration : 6 Months Rate : $Open Visa Status : USC and GC Only Relevant Experience: 8 Years Job Description: Position Summary: Partners with the Leadership Team to make our customers successful by embracing AJA’s Vision Statement. Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, embedded real-time systems are developed to drive cooking appliances and equipment in the quick service restaurant industry. Essential Roles & Responsibilities: • Responsible for applying engineering principles to the development of software for new embedded controller programs, reliable electronic control algorithms, and documentation needed to manufacture products. • Designs software in QP graphic framework for event driven state machines. • Integration of Debian Linux to Quantum Leaps(QP) event driven state machines • Collaboratively works with electrical hardware engineering to design software to requirements and utilizes change management and code design reviews to ensure the product is robust. • Creates test plans to thoroughly test the software for verification and validation activities. • Partners with other engineering teams to create test instructions, orchestrate new product development activities, coordination of agency compliance and production release. • Performs other related duties as assigned by Team Leader(s). Essential Skills & Role Qualifications: • Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal/communication skills, leadership, planning and technical/problem solving ability. • Action and detail oriented, and strong customer service skills drive for results, and make decisions. • Ability to differentiate colors, read blueprints/schematics, and possess basic electromechanical abilities. • Must work well independently and in a team, be self-motivated, and work effectively in a multi-tasking environment . • Computer Literate: MS Office, MRP, QAD Essential Education & Experience: • Minimum BSEE/BSCE or similar engineering degree or experience • Minimum 5 years development in QP graphic framework for embedded systems • Minimum 2 years working with Linux with integration with Quantum leaps state machine framework. • Minimum 3 year in code reviews and a structured process for development Work Conditions & Safety Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics listed here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
