IT Systems Support Lead / Analyst - Bridgwater / Hinkley Point C - £45,000-£65,000 - Permanent We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Support Lead / Analyst to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our IT support team. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of 4-5 support technicians, ensuring the timely resolution of support tickets across both commodity ICT services and specialised Systems IT. You will be embedding solutions and providing systems training whilst correcting operating rhythm. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 4-5 support technicians, ensuring high levels of productivity, technical expertise, and excellent customer service. - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT support function on-site, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and that any issues are promptly addressed. - Manage the ticketing system and ensure efficient resolution of support requests. Prioritise and assign tickets to team members based on urgency, complexity, and skill level, focusing on both commodity ICT and Systems IT issues. - Provide hands-on support for complex technical issues, acting as an escalation point for the team. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and systems issues as needed. - Monitor and maintain IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This includes routine maintenance, updates, and patch management. - Identify and implement process improvements within the support function to enhance efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction. - Embedding solutions into new and existing systems, ensuring seamless integration and enhancing overall system functionality. - Provide comprehensive systems training to team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to utilise the solutions effectively and efficiently. - Actively identify and address any disruptions in the operating rhythm, implementing corrective measures to maintain smooth and consistent workflow processes. - Ensure that all processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps are well-documented and kept up-to-date for future reference. - Work closely with other IT teams, departments, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on technology initiatives and support needs. - Generate regular reports on team performance, ticket resolution times, system health, and other key metrics, and present findings to senior management. Requirements: - Experience in an IT support role, with leadership or supervisory position. - Willingness to work onsite at Bridgwater and Hinkley Point C on a hybrid basis - Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and virtualisation. - Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and lead a team in finding effective solutions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
