Job Title: Test Automation Engineer Remote - Full time - £50,000-£60,000 base salary The Software Quality Assurance Engineer ensures high-quality software delivery by planning, implementing, and automating testing throughout the software development lifecycle. Working closely with DevOps engineers, developers, product owners, and technical leads, this role ensures that the software meets security, performance, and quality standards for both internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities: Define and promote quality and testing best practices within development teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to design, plan, and implement testing (e.g., regression, functional, performance, load) for new and existing features. Develop, review, and maintain test plans, scripts, and documentation to ensure thorough coverage. Automate testing processes to reduce manual effort and speed up delivery. Analyze test results, document defects, and track resolution. Support user acceptance testing and contribute to system performance improvements. Maintain and report QA testing metrics. Collaborate in an agile environment with teams to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Experience and Qualifications: Proficient in writing test automation scripts (e.g., Selenium, Playwright). Knowledge of C#, JavaScript, Typescript, SQL, and test management tools (e.g., Xray, Quality Centre). Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana) and CI/CD principles. Familiarity with AWS technologies (e.g., Lambda, Fargate), version control (GIT), and infrastructure as code (Terraform). Knowledge of security tools (e.g., Snyk, SonarQube) and frameworks (e.g., OWASP). Desirable: Experience in regulated financial services and FinOps best practices. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to defect identification. Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on improvement and innovation.
