UI Engineer Manager

Possibility of Remote/Hybrid/Onsite - £150,000 - £800,000 – London, United Kingdom Our client is a global, leading fintech seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Engineering Manager with expertise in Node.js and React to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a player-coach and play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our web applications, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user experience. Responsibilities: • Develop robust, responsive, and scalable front-end solutions using Node.js and React. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features and products. • Design and implement user interfaces that are intuitive, visually appealing, and meet user requirements. • Optimize application performance through code refactoring, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in front end development and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges. • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members to foster growth and collaboration. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices. • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. • Proven experience as a Front-End Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies. • Hands-on experience with Node.js and React, with a deep understanding of their core principles and best practices. • Experience with front end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and npm. • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming. • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additional: • Knowledge of TypeScript or other statically typed languages. • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment. Education & Experience: • 5 years of Finance experience • 2 years of Management experience.
