PMO Lead, Reading Are you ready for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on high-profile projects? Join Roc as a PMO Lead , where you will take charge of managing the Project Management Office (PMO) for one of Roc’s core strategic programmes. In this key role, you will also lead Roc’s internal PMO team, driving efficiency and aligning processes across the organisation. As the PMO Lead, you will initially be the sole owner of the PMO function for a multi-million-pound, five-year programme. This programme is designed to support our customer on their journey towards business transformation and enhanced efficiency, leveraging technical and digital advancements. As the programme grows, additional support will be onboarded to facilitate further development. You’ll also have the opportunity to identify and implement efficiencies between Roc’s internal PMO team and the Programme-focussed PMO team. In this role, your deep understanding of PMO and Project Management methodologies will be vital, as you guide delivery teams in areas such as resourcing, requirements analysis, scope management, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and lessons learned. Key Responsibilities: Lead Roc’s PMO function for a major strategic programme, ensuring alignment with customer and internal processes Collaborate with key customers to integrate their PMO processes and tools with Roc’s, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction Review Statements of Work (SoWs) and Proposals to ensure adherence to PMO best practices, reducing risk and ensuring high-quality delivery Allocate resources based on skills, availability, and timelines, reprioritising as needed to ensure project success Proactively identify and manage Risks, Issues, and Dependencies for the programme, maintaining RAID logs Lead Roc’s internal PMO team, providing guidance on best practices and fostering professional development Attend Programme Governance and Service Review boards/meetings as a core contributor to live and pipeline projects Ensure Roc’s broader delivery responsibilities align with customer expectations for efficiency and knowledge transfer As the PMO Lead, you will have: Knowledge of PMO functions within Public Sector industries and Managed Service Providers (MSP) Understanding of ServiceNow ITSM platform Familiarity with Project Management methodologies, specifically Waterfall and Agile Strong administrative skills with experience managing timesheets and resource allocation Basic knowledge of IT delivery concepts (Networking, Cloud, Service Desk) Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage with stakeholders at all levels Experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on requirements gathering, RAID management, and lessons learned 5 years of experience working in a PMO office, ideally for an MSP Ability to obtain Security Clearance Roc Technologies is an equal opportunities employer, if you feel you meet the skills outlined in the job specification, we would love to hear from you.
