Job Title: System Administrator, L3 Location: Ottawa, Ontario The Client: Valued Government of Canada client in the Defense space Key Responsibilities: Distributed Virtualized Data Centre · Install, upgrade, configure and maintain core system hardware components of the Information System including hardware components such as: Servers, Network Storage appliances, Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Thin clients · Install, upgrade, configure and maintain core system hardware components of the DSSTNi Information System including software components such as: System Firmware, VMWare VSphere virtualization including ESXi, VCenter and Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure, MS Server, MS Windows, Linux. · Support users by creating user accounts, configuring and assigning user virtual machines, installing user-specific software, and configuring and providing access to file shares. · Respond to user-generated trouble tickets by resolving the issue or escalating the problem to the development team using the HaloITSM ticketing system. What you must bring to this role: Must have 10 years of experience in installation, upgrade, configuration and maintenance of physical hardware and system software on the network Candidate must have Secret Clearance and be enrolled in the Controlled Goods Program Must have 10 years creating user accounts, configuring and assigning user virtual machines, installing user-specific software and configuring and providing access to file shares. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Multi-Factor- Authentication (MFA). Only those who are qualified will be contacted.
