On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in Python and a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights. This role is ideal for someone with at least 3 years of experience in a data science role, preferably within the industrial or energy sector. You’ll be working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large datasets, develop predictive models, and help drive data-informed decision-making. Experience with Databricks is considered a strong asset. This Data Scientist contract opportunity is being offered on a remote basis through to the end of 2025, with potential to extend. Responsibilities: Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to extract meaningful insights. Build, test, and deploy predictive models using Python-based machine learning libraries. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions. Develop data pipelines and workflows, ideally within Databricks. Present findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Requirements: 3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist. Proficient in Python and related data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.). Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly). Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms an asset (e.g., Spark, Azure, AWS). Experience working with clients in the industrial or energy sector is highly preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
