Lead Software Engineer

Job Title: Lead Software Engineer Location: United Kingdom Work Pattern: Fully remote (once a quarter team meet up) Salary: up to £100,000 per annum 10% bonus and healthcare package Job Position: Permanent This position does not offer sponsorship RMG Digital is currently on the lookout for a Lead Software Engineer to join a growing software team to operate within a high scale start up with a financial backing of a global company. This company is working on some super cool products within the Medical industry. Helping companies and patients by having a user first focus, you will be able to work on products which are used by people all across the world. What we’re looking for as a Lead Software Engineer: Someone who can take a technical lead on projects. Being able to solve problems, making sure quality of work is at its best, influencing decisions, able to provide continuous delivery of the products to production and pushing out small impactful changes at a high level. Responsibilities as a Lead Software Engineer: Solving various problems and providing technical solutions Drive the team culture and create a great team environment & development Help building the business as well as your team Delivering small impactful projects for the users i.e 2 to 6 weeks Working on end to end projects - making sure everything is done to a high standard Designing, developing, deploying and maintaining your solutions for users Owning front/back end development Working with API infrastructure which will then allow for integration between service and third party systems Leading projects focusing on solving real world business problems Experience needed as a Lead Software Engineer: Experiencing working within user/product facing company (making changes while understanding the needs of the users) Worked within a team lead position while still being technically hands on (80/20 split hands on) Experience working with Ruby, Ruby on rails, Javascript, applications Examples of working with APIs Project examples of integrating with internal and third party services Previously or currently leading and influencing your team either face to face or a remote working environment Interview process: 20 minute cultural assessment Conversation with the Head of Software and/or Engineering manager to discuss the role in more detail and culture fit Programming session with one of the engineers Final interview with Engineering Team Lead peer group If this position sounds of interest.
