The role ReUp Education is seeking a skilled Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to build our next generation of mobile web apps enabling us to support institutions of higher learning and their millions of adult learners. This role will be a key member of the software engineering team creating and delivering new products to market. As a Lead Full Stack Engineer you will be working with a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from ideation to production release. This includes working with graphic designers and product managers who will define the specifications and features. You will lead part of a team developing the features from top (frontend) to bottom (backend), ensuring the application is functional and responsive. You should have expert-level experience with both frontend and backend coding languages, frameworks, tools, and third-party libraries. As our Lead Full Stack Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the team and should have experience leading a team of software engineers at all stages of the development life cycle. Your role involves but are not limited to: Working with architects, developers, designers and product managers to create software solutions. Leading the team in the technical, data modeling, and architectural decisions for the frontend and backend of a cloud-based web application. Leading the team in development of frontend components from UI design specifications. Leading the team in the development of backend APIs used by the frontend. Leading the team in the development of interfaces for databases and 3rd party services. Test software for bugs, responsiveness, performance, and security vulnerabilities. Develop clean, reusable and documented code and troubleshoot, debug, and update code to fix issues. We're looking for a seasoned Full Stack, Lead Software Engineers with a proven track records. Ideally, you have: 8 years full stack development experience, specializing in desktop web applications and with 3 years of leading teams. Strong proficiency in frontend (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) and backend (Node.js, Python) technologies. Expertise in multiple frontend frameworks (React, Next, Vue, Svelte) and databases (SQL, NoSQL). Expertise in modern development practices, security, CI/CD, API development (RESTful, GraphQL), and cloud platforms, AWS. Proven ability in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
