Distributed Software Engineer

Referment is working with a leading London based hedge fund, known to be at the forefront of technology and innovation. They have a role open in a team which is responsible for researching and implementing new technologies into the environment and working with other development teams on business critical projects, most of which involve building distributed systems and making the technology stack more stream native. The successful candidate should be a very strong OO programmer and have extensive experience with data streaming tools like Kafka or Flink. You will get the opportunity to work with many different teams and departments across the fund, presenting the successful applicant a chance to learn a lot about the world of finance whilst working with the latest technologies. Key Requirements Expert knowledge of data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache Flink Extensive experience with distributed programming and building distributed systems (Spark, Dask, Airflow etc) Strong experience with one or more object orientated programming language such as Scala, Java, C# or C++ Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Knowledge of Test Driven Developer (TDD) and CI/CD tools You must be eligible to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship Not quite right for you?
