Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Terraform, AWS, Python, GitLab CI) Location: Remote/Hybrid – Monday and ideally Tuesday in the London office Salary: Up to £75,000 10% pension 28 days holiday The Role We’re looking for a proactive and driven DevOps Engineer with expertise in Terraform, AWS and ideally some Python or Bash scripting and some GitLab CI. Some Kubernetes knowledge would also be a plus, but isn't essential. In this role, you’ll engineer and maintain cutting-edge, customer-centric solutions that are secure, high-performing, and robust. You'll work in a feature team and use your technical expertise to deliver complex software, scripts, and tools for some of the banks most visible systems across retail and business banking. Key Responsibilities: Engineer, produce, and maintain critical software and infrastructure that provides real business value and immediate customer impact across multi millions of customers You will be fundamental in supporting the migration of platforms to the latest tech and passionate about learning and discovering new technologies Collaborate in a pair programming environment with your team to optimise software engineering practices and drive improvements Design, develop, test, and implement secure, scalable code in an Agile environment Support the full lifecycle of the software process – from requirement analysis and design, through coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing operations. Essential Skills & Experience: You will have at least 2 years experience using Terraform in the cloud - ideally with AWS Experience of scripting is also a plus, ideally in Python scripting for automation and development, but Bash would also be considered Basic understanding of Kubernetes Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and deployment pipelines. 2 years in software engineering, with a focus on scalability, performance, and automation Basic understanding of Kubernetes Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies, and hands-on experience with associated toolsets and practices The client Amazing opportunity to join a dynamic team and work on strategic and innovative projects that make a tangible impact on customers.
