Head of Infrastructure

As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Infrastructure to lead the infrastructure strategy and ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of their technology platforms. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that supports the company’s growth objectives and ensures high availability and performance of all systems. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, system administrators, and network specialists. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the firm’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms. Ensure the security and compliance of all infrastructure components, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other technology and business teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business needs and future goals. Drive the adoption of automation and DevOps practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual processes. Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring high service levels. Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and scalability. Prepare and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of service. Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies, applying best practices to continuously improve the firm’s infrastructure. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience in infrastructure management, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry. Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and mentoring technical teams. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with hybrid cloud environments. In-depth understanding of network architecture, virtualization, storage solutions, and cybersecurity best practices. Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions under pressure. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
