We are looking for a Python and JavaScript / TypoeScript Programmer Analyst for one of our clients, an investment bank set in Montreal Role Overview : The team develops software solutions for major financial markets in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. The solutions must be competitive to develop or consolidate our market share, launch new products, and seize opportunities. The team is the global cross-business client management division of the group. The team’s mission is to deliver a state-of-the art digital platform, targeting both the staffs and clients and covering pre-trade, execution and post-trade activities, and to grow the client knowledge and deliver a seamless experience through the client lifecycle, whilst protecting the Bank. The team is responsible for: • Build, maintain and provide technical support to the core systems that are used primarly by Sales, and other functions within the bank related to onboarding processes. • Innovate, provide automated solutions and accompany the change Technical Stack: • Language: Javascript, Python, Typescript, SQL, HTML/CSS • Tools: Github, Git, Jenkins, ETL (Data Transformation), AirFlow Key responsibilities: The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to : • Participate in design thinking sessions to collect needs and specify required features • Develop any required elements of the application from user interface to data management • Manage several streams of work concurrently • Bring a passion to stay on top of trends, experiment with and learn new technologies • Follow and adopt Agile methodologies within the team • Collaborate closely with the team and key stakeholders to ensure up-to-date documentation and deliver solutions aligned with business needs • Estimate development efforts, report on project status, and ensure timely delivery to clients • Support business systems by collaborating with IT teams, users, and stakeholders • Ensure customer and regulatory deadlines are met while following company policies • Act as a motivated, proactive, and highly contributing member of the project team • Participate in and follow up on regular team meetings Required Qualifications and Skills: Must Have: • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field • Experience using JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, SQL and HTML/CSS • Experience using GitHub, Git, Jenkins, ETL(Data Transformation) and AirFlow • Experience in IT projects and Agile methodologies • Proficient in SQL, data transformation, BI/Reporting • Proficient in developing web applications and APIs • Knowledge of Business Process Management (BPMN) concepts and tools Nice to Have: • Experience in capital markets is not a requirement but you need to be interested by our business and to anticipate our user needs • Client-facing experience with data processing and reporting • Comfortable with Excel (Power Query), Power BI, or similar tools Language: English : mandatory French : is a plus
