Principal Software Engineer

We're partnered with a seed-stage startup, backed by top-tier investors and a stellar technical founding team, building an intelligent investment blueprint platform for institutional markets. They're looking for a principal software engineer to join their rapidly scaling company. Responsibilities - Architect, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient microservices on AWS. Build and optimize APIs using GraphQL and RESTful API integration. Lead backend development with Ruby on Rails, Python, and Typescript while collaborating with the frontend team leveraging React. Drive technical decisions, set engineering standards, and ensure best practices across the platform. Produce trading software for equities, FX, fixed income products and more Qualifications - Experience in institutional markets (e.g., institutional investing, asset management, hedge funds, or trading desks). Expertise in Ruby on Rails/ Python, React, GraphQL, RESTful API, AWS, and TypeScript. A deep understanding of scalable, maintainable, and efficient microservice architecture. Strong knowledge of institutional investing, with experience across asset classes or in fixed-income markets being a big plus.
