Senior Product Security Engineer

A bit about the role: My client is looking for an experienced Product Security Officer, who has experience with Product Cyber Security domains particularly within an Engineering field. The Product Security Officer will be responsible providing an initial roadmap, platforming, standardisation, policies & procedures, trends, partnerships and intellectual property. Within the role of the Product Security Officer, you would be required to develop a through understanding of the customers processes of the clients offers/product range and also be able to identify both new opportunities and any potential threats. In the role of a Product Security Officer, it will include leading a team of product security experts, including Security Advisors, Security Architects, Security Testers, and Vulnerability Managers, to support teams in adhering to Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) standards, conducting Security Testing, and managing vulnerabilities throughout pre- and post-production phases. Our client would look for the Product Security Officer to develop direct reports, in collaboration with other Leaders, by setting clear targets and goals, assigning challenging and impactful tasks, and engaging in regular development and career planning discussions. It would be great if the Product Security Officer has a great commitment to operational security, consistently following best practices and standards in Product and Industrial Security. What’s required: Bachelor’s/ Honours degree in Engineering or equivalent At least 8 years’ experience in Product Development, Engineering or similar Candidates must have worked within an Engineering Manufacturing background A proven background in Cybersecurity Threats and Defence – such as technology procedures A track record of data protection requirements Experience in Project Management Demonstrates a wealth of commitment to operational security, adhering to best practices and standards in Product and Industrial Security. Knowledge of Open-Source Software Hold the generic security certifications like CISSP & CISM.
