Frontend Developer

We’re looking for a Front End Developer to join the team here at Pretty Pragmatic. If you’ve got a passion for creating engaging, appealing and speedy sites along with great attention to detail and a good eye for design, then we've got just the job for you. Front End Web Developer £30,000-35,000 per annum Role Overview: As a Front End Web Developer at Pretty Pragmatic, you’ll work with the tech team and wider agency to deliver fantastic digital products & outstanding results for clients who really appreciate what we do for them. You will be responsible for transforming web designs into attractive and user-friendly web pages using your skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, working both with static pages and Umbraco views. We’re looking for someone with prior web agency experience, with a strong eye for design, and who loves to build quality solutions. You’re a great fit for the role if you have: A good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript Loads of experience creating responsive user interfaces A great eye for detail and design Plenty of experience replicating modular designs into real life functioning websites Familiarity with CSS pre-processors such as Sass Some experience working with content management systems, such as Umbraco or WordPress A passion for the web and digital technologies An eagerness to bring new ideas to the table for projects, make suggestions and work closely with the UX & design team A readiness to learn new techniques, use new approaches and to keep up-to-date with industry advances Experience working with Figma (or equivalent e.g. XD), even better if you’ve used them to create UIs yourself. And some nice to haves: Experience with Git version control Familiarity with Typescript Familiarity with Web Components, including using libraries such as Lit Knowledge of PHP Interaction design understanding, with a passion for usability and accessibility Ability to output clean, commented, and team-friendly code If you’re ticking the boxes, then it’s probably a good time to let you know the type of person we’re looking for Who we’re looking for: A keen bean – you’ll love planning, plotting, & having ideas that you make a reality.
