New opportunity - Financial Controller - up to £80,000 Role: Financial Controller Location: Epsom, onsite Salary: £70,000-£80,000 I have partnered with a Software Development company who are looking for a Financial Controller to join them to work the MD to strategically advise through this exciting time for them, as well as work hands on to control the finance function. These guys have offices in the US & UK and you will have full ownership of their UK finanical operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Financial Operations Management: Oversee daily financial operations for the UK. Monthly payroll, commissions, and pensions. Tax withholding and compliance with various countries' requirements Data processing into local accounts systems and production of monthly/yearly reports VAT returns and reporting Liaising with accountants on company filings and tax matters UK banking and reconciliations Raising invoices and credit control Company credit card management and reconciliation Financial Liaison: Serve as a financial liaison with the leadership team, providing financial reports and operational updates. Compliance: Ensure organizational compliance with external auditors and business licensing, annual report filing, corporate insurance, and reporting requirements. Best Practices Alignment: Collaborate with corporate teams to align best practices and ensure adherence to company policies and legal guidelines. Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve accounting-related employee disputes to maintain a professional and compliant work environment. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Marketing, Technical, and other functional groups to drive growth and optimize performance. Project Oversight: Participate in meetings with the parent company and other subsidiaries, overseeing implementation teams in project execution. Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15) across various software product offerings, SaaS, and term licenses. Requirements & Qualifications: Fully qualified (ACCA etc) 7years of experience Experienced in revenue recognition. Experience in the software industry or Software as a Service (SaaS). Background in a software company is ideal Experience in a SME is desired Understanding of corporate operations. Ability to work autonomously in a global client environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience working with US-based companies.
