Sales Engineer Job Description Overview: Reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering, the Sales Engineering team is responsible for pre and post sales technical engagement with the customer including product and technical presentations, network design assistance, professional services and level-2 technical support. This also involves demonstration of Positron product capabilities, and assistance with lab and field trials (Demos, Evaluation and Training) for accounts assigned to the Sales Engineer. Sales Engineers should have a strong technical background and knowledge of IP networks, network design, computer hardware and software, CATV / IPTV solutions used for Hospitality and Business applications, and Wi-Fi solutions. Positron Access Solutions Corp Positron Access is an international telecommunications equipment manufacturer based in Montreal. We have successfully launched a world leading Gigabit over copper & coax solution that enables symmetrical Gigabit Services to each resident in older residential buildings as well providing high bandwidth connectivity to hotel room guests. Out solution enables owners and operators to save of up to 80% over re-cabling. Our business partners and customers are telephone companies, cable companies, Internet Service Providers, and major residential and hospitality property owners. Detailed Responsibilities: Overall Pre and Post Sales Technical Responsibilities for selected accounts Support the sales team with webinars, technical documentation, site survey analysis, and bill of materials preparation / review. Prepare and deliver technical sales-oriented presentations to customer's technical staff and senior management. Work with customers to design and architect network solutions to their access applications needs. Capture, articulate, and prioritize customer requirements. Provide input to strategic sales and marketing plans. Assist customers in configuring and testing products and networks in lab and field trials. Provide expertise on particular technical issues or specific network architectures and applications. Conduct technical customer training sessions. Provide professional services, including site surveys and installation services. Qualifications: · Excellent oral & written English communications skills. English proficiency is a “must-have” skill. · Strong interpersonal skills · Experience with deploying and managing routers, switches and premise devices · Experience in supporting a level-1 helpdesk team, and direct experience in handling level-2/level-3 escalated support cases · Strong troubleshooting skills · Clear understanding of networking technologies at all Layers of the OSI model · Strong technical account management, customer service and project management skills · Working knowledge of Ethernet, VLAN/QoS, TCP/IP, DOCSIS, xDSL. Knowledge of G.hn, MoCA and XGS- PON is VERY highly desirable. · CCNA or equivalent certification if highly desirable. · Travel Requirement: up to 50% Location : The candidate will ideally be located in Montreal Canada / Quebec, candidates located in other Canadian or US locations will be equally considered. Relocation / Immigration: No re-location or immigration support is offered. Candidates should be legally authorized to work in the USA or Canada and must provide support documentation.
