Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer - Azure, Databricks, Python, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Eclipse Hands on Azure Data Engineer required for a leading Lloyd's / London Market insurance organisation. You will work in a specialist data platform team in order to implement brand new Azure capabilities. The division's data lake is in its nascency at bronze level so are building this out to serve all areas of the business. Technologies like Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Delta Tables & Synapse will be used as the team oversees Eclipse data transformation & ongoing future development. This role would suit an ambitious individual who is looking to make a step up in both technology & responsibility. You may come from a Business Intelligence engineering background, working in a full MSBI environment with SSAS, SSIS etc. with some exposure to Azure & now looking to move into a fully-fledged cloud Data Engineer position. Responsibilities: Design & develop cloud data offerings including Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS, Data Factory etc. Collaborate with Data Engineers, Solutions Architects & a Scrum Master Replicate global systems & replicate tables, columns & rows into data lake Collaborate with both direct team & wider business areas in order to implement new services Work in a DevOps environment Requirements: London / Lloyd's Market insurance experience will be a significant advantage. Financial Services exposure is required Knowledge of Azure cloud solutions; Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake DevOps experience for code management & deployment automation Expert SQL & Python programming Excellent communication skills & experience working in Agile teams Senior Data Engineer - Azure, Databricks, Python, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Eclipse
