Solutions Architect (Operational Technology)

Outside IR35 - Remote - 6 Month Contract w.Extensions - £600 - £650 a day Solution Architect (Operational Technology) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Operational Technology (OT) and extensive knowledge of modern IT tools and platforms. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust solutions that bridge the gap between IT and OT environments, ensuring seamless integration, enhanced security, and optimal performance. Responsibilities Operational Technology expertise required; Design and develop end-to-end OT solutions that integrate with IT systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols Collaborate with stakeholders to define architectural requirements, create detailed design documents, and oversee the implementation of solutions Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with the company's long-term strategic goals Lead the integration of OT systems with IT environments, ensuring interoperability, security, and reliability. Work closely with OT teams to understand their requirements, challenges, and goals, translating them into effective IT solutions. Provide technical leadership and guidance on OT best practices, including network security, device management, and data integration Automation / Infrastructure expertise required; Utilize Kickstart and Ansible for automated deployment, configuration management, and system provisioning across OT environments Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, ensuring they are optimized, secure, and fully integrated with other IT/OT systems Develop and maintain automation scripts, playbooks, and templates to standardize and streamline OT operations Cloud & Device Management expertise required; Architect and implement hybrid cloud solutions using Azure, ensuring seamless integration with on-premises OT systems Manage and deploy devices and applications using Microsoft Intune, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and security standards Drive cloud adoption strategies, ensuring OT workloads are effectively managed and monitored within the Azure environment Key Skills Deep understanding of OT systems, protocols, and challenges. Strong proficiency in Linux systems, particularly Red Hat. Expertise in automation tools such as Ansible and Kickstart. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
