Configuration Architect – Broadcast Management Systems 9 Month Rolling Contract Hybrid West London – Inside IR35 up to £715pd Umbrella This is only available for those with the right to work in the UK and who are based near West London. The role will be hybrid working – initially 4 days a week on site with a bit more flexibility once settled in the role Ideally available within 4 weeks notice. Configuration Architect for the Broadcast Management Systems and Interfaces for our Global Broadcast Media Client is. Working within the International Media Applications team the Configuration Architect will help plan, make and manage changes and enhancements to the International Media Application Broadcast Management Systems (BMS/Broadcast Scheduling Applications). Overseeing all aspects effecting the integrated broadcast supply chain. This is a hands on role, config management architecture role but suitable backgrounds might include relevant Broadcast system/application Technical analyst / Systems Analyst, technical support, testing or Strong configuration management for other relevant large complex workflow applications outside of Broadcast Media. The role will involve working with business stakeholders, Users, vendors etc. It will provide configuration management for changes, enhancements and require understanding integrations and data flows to interfacing applications and planning the knock-on implications of enhancements / upgrades to downstream systems (including reporting / playout partners etc). This is mostly project based enhancements and changes required from the business and may require coming up with solutions etc. There are also some changes from bug fixes / issue resolution and 3rd party BAU product upgrades etc and supporting day to day business needs. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact by collaborating with technical teams solutionising of applications within the International Media Application Supply-Chain. This role is a combination of being hands-on technical support as well as supporting day to day business needs being the first & second line of support Key Duties & Responsibilities Support the supply chain for the Broadcast Management Systems in International for Linear & Non-Linear Services. Apply practical knowledge of broadcast program planning and scheduling, common standard structures to conceive, design, test, and implement workflow fixes, enhancements, componentisation of media. Configure highly scalable Broadcast Management systems with in-depth knowledge of data and media flows and integrations with other key applications. Implement assigned component level software development and fixes using new or existing technologies. Follow established protocols for change requests, fixes and backlog management of complex requests throughout international Interact and coordinate work with other technical groups in the organization. Review, solve and perform testing. Leads team members in problem analysis and issue resolution. Recommends improvements to processes and workflow management that will benefit across international. Required Qualifications & Skills At least 5 years of experience in configuration architect, broadcast management systems setup, management and improvement of workflows Experience in data and media flows within the broadcast management supply chain. Experience with 3rd party integrations. Experience with report specs and configuration Deep knowledge and experience of managing, orchestrating, and monitoring broadcast management systems. Role will learn the process flows and understand the systems and interfaces/integrations with the end to end content supply chain, (there will be a learning process and gaps in knowledge is expected). This is hands on configuration role (owning the config) / System changes / Process flow Documentation / Systems Administration etc. Similar broadcast workflow applications highly desirable but would consider other relevant workflow system/ applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience in WhatsON, OnAIR and other Broadcast Management Systems Experience with Jira or other Agile software management tools Experience in management of technical support of applications Education Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field/work experience.
