The Role Parico is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who is smart, curious and prospers against the challenge of working closely with a small business to solve complex and challenging problems across the Public Sector landscape. You’ll have the freedoms to be truly innovative to roll up your sleeves, get stuck into the detail of systems, and generally do what it takes to achieve incredible technical solutions to our customer’s complex problems. The successful candidate will have significant experience in Microsoft Server technologies, including AD and Azure, as well as exposure to other virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Nutanix. Within the role the Wintel Engineer will support the Parico technical team working various other workstreams and deployments within the customer environment. There will be a high level of technical discovery, planning, migration and troubleshooting tasks so the successful candidate needs to be able to work methodically and be able to communicate at both a technical level and to various internal stakeholders and infrastructure teams. Responsibilities include Significant depth of experience within key disciplines such as design, implementation, troubleshooting and support, including: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022 AD and NTFS permissions DNS DHCP Group Policy PKI SQL (Failover Clustering AG) Microsoft Cloud Azure Experience O365 Virtualisation Technologies VMware ESX vSphere Nutanix HCI Replication and Backup Technologies Cross-site failure and resiliency Rubrick Backup Storage Technologies VMware vSAN Nutanix Files Experienced with multi-tier internet-facing architectures and systems. Strong operating system experience with multiple versions of Windows and Linux Working experience of cloud security concepts Strong understand of complex networking environments and able to diagnose and troubleshoot issues end-to-end. A proven track record for delivering large-scale IT projects, with direct responsibility for designing and implementing highly available and resilient Wintel solutions including active-active failover for business continuity. Documentation experience, both in creating high- and low-level technical design documentation. Configuring and administering backup and restore of Windows systems along with patching. Exemplary customer skills and communications skills Highly adaptable, calm and professional Excellent problem-solving skills and comfortable taking on new challenges. Microsoft MCSE Qualification or similar Hold a UK Driving Licence and have a willingness to travel to client sites. Highly organised in order to achieve deliverables on time What's in it for you?
