Software Engineer - End User Development

The Software Engineer will work closely with our cross-functional engineering teams to help design and implement modular and configurable components that drive successful applications. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Design and develop software tools and components that enable the end user to easily deploy our cutting edge AI-driven machine vision solutions Design for efficiency, usability, reliability, and test Participate in risk management and design control activities Participate in design reviews and document development activities per established product development process Minimum qualifications: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent 2 years of professional software development experience, or 2 years of advanced academic training beyond a BS Prior experience designing and developing software tools for end users Strong interest in machine vision, industrial automation, robots, or machine learning Strong proficiency in C++ and JavaScript Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns Comfortable developing software in a Linux environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently but also thrives in highly integrated team environments Strong attention to detail Preferred qualifications: MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, with specialization in robotics 2 years of experience in product development organizations, designing and developing machine vision systems Previous experience with industrial automation, robotics, or machine learning Experience with Git or similar version control systems Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash Familiarity with JSON data structures and file formats Experience with front end development, i.e. React / Redux, CSS, Bootstrap
