Job Description: REMOTE • This role requires knowledge of working with software development teams, monitoring operations, and improving development processes when needed. You must be highly organized and competent in Agile principles. • Strong knowledge and experience in AI concepts, principles, and architecture. • Collaborate with customers to understand AI software goals and strategies. Analyze client requirements, recommend development strategies, and support the creation of strategic plans and agency roadmaps. Recognized as an expert in the professional community. • Develop and execute strategies to win business within AI target markets to grow the AI business sector. • Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. • Collaborate with AI team to make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project. • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy. • Communicate with senior leadership and executives to keep the project aligned with their goals. • Develop reports and presentations to deliver status updates and milestone accomplishments to all stakeholders. • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected. • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change. • Provides leadership, coordination, resource allocation, strategy, and management to capture new work and prepare winning bids. • Stay up to date on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in the AI field, proactively identifying opportunities to evolve and optimize the organization's processes and infrastructure. • Continuously evaluate existing tools, technologies, and processes and recommend improvements to increase the efficiency, reliability, and security of the organization's software pipeline. • Identify engineers who will focus on the ability to address customer requirements as well as the ability to ensure that development and operations teams collaborate. • Manage collaborative efforts between engineers, developers, customers, and all stakeholders to ensure the successful application development process. • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams and departments when necessary. Required Skills and or Experience: • Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of experience in program/project management, including engineering, financial management, risk management, scheduling, planning, and oversight of task progress. Understanding of software development principles and methodologies to collaborate effectively with development teams. • Strong background in AI best practices for AI applications and services. • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, data scientists, software developers, and IT operations, to manage AI projects effectively and efficiently. • Effective teamwork abilities, with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Effective communication abilities, with experience presenting to stakeholders on project status updates and AI initiatives. • Driving continuous improvement initiatives by actively identifying and targeting areas for enhancement and innovation across AI platforms. • Understanding or experience with Python, JavaScript, or other high-level programming language(s). Degree Requirements: • BS in Computer Science or relevant experience in software engineering or development • Experience working in an R&D or STEM environment MUST BE A U.S. Citizen
