Security Infrastructure Engineer

Security Infrastructure Engineer Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Infrastructure Engineer to join a succinct team and play a crucial role in protecting a corporate security landscape. About the Role: As a Security Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing robust security infrastructure across a number of datacenters. You'll work on various aspects of security layers, from endpoint security to web application firewalls, ensuring the highest level of protection across the organisation. Location: Nottingham - 2 days a week Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimise endpoint security solutions, including EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) Configure and maintain NDR (Network Detection and Response) systems Implement and manage WAF (Web Application Firewall) solutions Set up and fine-tune IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) and IDS (Intrusion Detection System) Perform Layer 7 hardening and manage application firewalls Implement bot protection and signature blocking mechanisms Manage infrastructure security for Hyper-V and VMware environments Configure and maintain email security solutions (Mimecast, Office 365) Oversee security configurations across the business Contribute to ongoing security projects and initiatives Required Qualifications: Proven experience in corporate security infrastructure management Strong knowledge of EDR, NDR, WAF, IPS, and IDS technologies Expertise in Layer 7 security and application firewall management Experience with bot protection and signature blocking Proficiency in Hyper-V and VMware infrastructure security Familiarity with email security solutions (Mimecast, Office 365) Solid understanding of networking principles and infrastructure Strong project management and communication skills Desired Qualifications: Experience with Azure cloud security Certifications in relevant security domains (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CCSP) Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) Salary: £65,000 If you're passionate about security, have a deep understanding of infrastructure, and enjoy working on complex security challenges, I want to hear from you.
