NetDevOps Architect

We are currently searching for an experienced and skilled NetDevOps Architect with a proven track record to support our team within a financial services client, developing a cutting-edge network. You’ll establish a network automation framework that accelerates network development and deployment. You will collaborate with hardware vendors and leverage open-source tools, ensuring the automation designs and processes align with the network and security policies as well as defining a single source of truth. Your work will be instrumental in creating a highly automated data centre network. This is a hybrid position based in Central London, with the need to be in the office 3 days a week at the beginning. What you’ll be doing: Working with the network architecture team and vendors to understand the requirements with automation Architect and drive the automation framework forward, working with the security team to make sure development practices are compliant and unhindered. Be able to automate a network using zero-touch provisioning and bootstrapping techniques (maybe vendor-specific) Help model the various data structures and their relationships as well as actors and interfaces. Understand the current tooling, understanding any platforms and patterns that could be adopted. Internal project marketing (as in updates to promote automation and mindset) High-level platform principles Define SSoT (Single Source of Truth), secret management solution, Version Control Systems and Git workflow. What you’ll bring: Excellent knowledge and practical experience of network automation and testing tooling like Nornir, NAPALM, Batfish and Netbox Proven history in dynamically verifying network state compliance with known state and update as deployments occur Good understanding of secure development practices Excellent Object-Oriented Programming (Python, potentially GO) Very strong understand of Git and Git workflows as well as CI/CD pipelines Understanding of IaC and state-based automation such as Terraform Previously experience automating a highly scalable network Demonstrable examples of previous automation work OpticoreIT is a specialist IT services consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments across our client base varying from Large Enterprises to FTSE 100 spanning across multiple verticals including Finance, Media, Telecommunications and much more.
