Title: Quality Assurance/Release Management Analyst - Case Management (50319505) Location: 505 Parnassus, San Francisco, CA 94143 (100% Remote) Type: 03 Months Contract Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (includes a 60 min break) Details: • Involves developing, evaluating, revising, applying and documenting technical quality assurance protocols, methods and test plans to inspect and test a variety of IT processes, software and products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both campus, medical center or IT quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations and software / product design specifications to determine and approve software releases. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of IT processes, software and products and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. Involved in developing, auditing, monitoring and enforcing the established release management processes and policies in support of cross-domain configuration integration, testing, completeness and consistency. May ensure compliance to UC and / or external specifications and standards. Custom Scope: • Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced QA Release Management professional with a full understanding of industry practices and location and departmental policies and procedures to test complex software changes or enhancements. Selects methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for testing and releasing software. Provides support to domain-specific release management resources in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities: • Performs complex procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements. • Analyzes and develops complex test scripts, test plans and the test execution plans. • Performs complex Integrated testing of software to ensure proper operation and conformance to test plans. • Implements release management by applying the application life-cycle management release process and principles. • Creates and maintains testing libraries in support of the software development process and life cycle. • Recommends and implements improvements to procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. • Employs complex tools to perform work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. • Serves as an analyst for unit in the development of new QA and Release Management standards and guidelines. • Acts as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers and other Quality Assurance Analysts. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs): • In-depth knowledge of Epic software functions - Required • In-depth understanding of the design, development and analysis of software. In-depth skills associated with software testing, and analysis - Preferred • Understands compliance requirements for applicable industry or agency standards. Knowledge of the ISO standards and the Compatibility Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) model - Preferred • Interpersonal skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner - Required • Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, works independently and as part of a team and demonstrate problem-solving skills - Required • In-depth knowledge relating to the design, development and analysis of software - Preferred • Thorough knowledge of other areas of IT. Knowledge of department processes and procedures - Preferred • In-depth skills in software testing - Required • Thorough knowledge of software function and analysis - Required • Creates and tracks the release improvement process to be applied across all IT domains and initiates new projects related to release management - Required.
