Senior Software Engineer Hybrid : £65,000 - £75,000 DOE West-Midlands based (UK Candidates Only) Join a dynamic and fast-growing company making a real impact on the UK's property market, on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer to lead innovative greenfield projects This role is a key and pivotal part of their tech offering, reporting directly to the CTO, you will have an impact on key development processes, technical direction and more The person they recruit will be "the dev oracle for the team", meaning they are looking for someone to come in and oversee their key processes, mentor junior developers and shine light in the right direction when needed. This is a real opportunity for an experienced PHP Laravel software developer to skyrocket their career, progressing to Lead Developer quickly and playing a pivotal role in my clients growth What You’ll Do: - Design and develop new features to enhance our platform - Maintain and optimize existing code for performance - Ensure high code quality through testing and reviews - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale projects - Integrate third-party services for a better user experience - Mentor and guide junior engineers Required Experience: - Expertise with the LEMP stack - Strong experience in PHP, MVC frameworks like Laravel - Solid skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery) - RESTful API development and integration experience - Familiarity with version control (Git) - Passion for UX, CX, and modern engineering practices - DevOps knowledge (CI/CD, Automation) Beneficial Experience: - Familiarity with Agile methodologies - Cloud hosting experience (AWS) - Understanding of Docker/Kubernetes - Experience with financial systems Benefits: - Competitive salary (£65k-75k DOE) - 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after 2 years) - Hybrid working and flexible hours - Share option scheme - Life insurance, Perkbox, and more - Electric Car Scheme - Cycle to Work - Casual dress code - Free parking & great transport links Ready to make an exciting step in your career?
