Overview:

Novant Health is seeking a Psychiatric Tech. The Psychiatric Tech is responsible for assisting with care of psychiatric patients from young adults up the age continuum through geriatrics under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. CNAI in NC, preferred.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Ability to perform all MOAB physical holds. Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse age specific patients within facility.
