Job Title: Proposal Writer and Manager Location: Chantilly, Virginia (Candidates living within 10-15 miles of radius of the Office at Lafayette Center Drive are preferred) NetVision Resources, Inc. NVR is looking to hire a talented Proposal Writer/Manager for our Chantilly VA location to join our Corporate Growth team. In this role, you'll manage and craft high-quality technical and administrative proposals for government contracts. Key responsibilities include conducting research, identifying win themes, developing proposal content, and ensuring meticulous editing and proofreading. You'll also coordinate proposal submissions and enhance business processes, supporting federal proposal efforts across technical writing, past performance, RFIs, RFPs, and IDIQ Task Orders. Job description for Proposals Manager: Familiar with and proficient in government proposal processes, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and teaming agreements. Proposal Development: Write and Edit Proposals: Craft compelling and compliant proposals in response to Federal Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and other solicitations. Write proposal content and narrative as necessary to meet response requirements that is free of errors (grammatical, spelling, sentence structure, etc.) Research, Develop and Execute Proposal Content: Conduct research on RFP technical and functional areas to enhance understanding, develop and refine technical, management, and cost sections of proposals for clarity and compliance with Federal requirements. Perform editing, proofreading, and final formatting to ensure the delivery of error-free proposals and responses. Incorporate Feedback: Revise proposals based on internal reviews and client feedback to enhance the quality and competitiveness of submissions. Proposal Management: Lead Proposal Teams: Oversee the entire proposal process, from initial preparation and drafting to final submission and delivery. Develop Proposal Strategies: Formulate and implement proposal strategies, themes, and win strategies to align with client needs and differentiate the firm from competitors. Manage Proposal Schedule: Oversee the proposal development timeline, ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met. Develop and maintain a detailed proposal schedule and track progress. Compliance: Ensure proposals meet Federal regulations and solicitation requirements. Quality Control: Implement procedures to ensure high standards and accuracy in submissions. Documentation: Maintain and organize proposal templates and materials. Client Interaction: Coordinate with Federal clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements and address questions. Continuous Improvement: Analyze feedback from proposal evaluations and debriefs to identify areas for improvement and enhance future proposal efforts. Training: Mentor and train team members involved in proposal development. Qualifications: Experience in technical and/or proposal writing with prior strong background in US Federal proposal writing. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Expertise in usage of MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and PDF. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or other industry-related field required; MBA preferred. Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team of junior proposal writers. Good to have: A sample of one of your successful proposals (confidential information can be redacted).
