Morson are recruiting a Project Manager/Operational Excellece Mannager to facilitate Learning from Experience workshops at BAE Systems Barrow, this will be a 12 month contract and candidates will need to be on site 3 – 4 days/week on site. The Project Professional will be working in The Learning from Experience (LfE) team which is part of the Operational Excellence Project Management Office and is responsible for managing the governance and assurance of LfE across a major complex Programme. The role involves but is not limited to the following: Governance and management of all facilitated LfE across the Programme Utilise LfE database and support embedding of new integrated database Stakeholder management Review of Learning from Experience outputs to ensure quality, data standard and process is complied with Support and training to LfE champion network Reviewing documents for accuracy and clarity Monthly metric reporting and tracking of actions Have a good knowledge of Business processes and procedures. Administration and general office skills including Microsoft packages. Candidates will ideally have experience of facilitating workshops, with a project Management background and advanced grammatical skills (Degree level English desirable) Knowledge: Working within a multi project environment dealing with senior stakeholders Proactive and reliant on initiating learning from experience activity Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of PM&C policies, processes, procedures and systems. Comprehensive PM&C experience demonstrated in a professional capacity within a project. Comprehensive understanding of one or more PM&C tools techniques and practices. Knowledge and experience of PM governance and assurance processes Good understanding of the wider PM&C environment, and of developments and practices in the field. Experience of building relationships with internal stakeholders. Skills: Confident and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who has experience in public speaking/facilitating Strong grammatical and review skills Managing conflicting priorities Good understanding of the structure, organisation, processes and culture of the Line of Business Applies problem solving techniques to routine situations or situations of moderate complexity under limited supervision, in the field of PM&C, taking requirements and data from internal (project) sources and external (customer, competitor and academic) areas. An ability to gather information. Supports development of solutions and of implementation approaches. Ability to capture, adopt and share good practice. A good understanding of how team integrates with others teams & projects in order to achieve objectives. Developed communication skills to exchange complex information. Qualifications Application of related PM Competencies will be expected at this level with a strong background working within a project environment. Association for Project Management (APM) and/ or Project Management qualification is desirable Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance ADZN1_UKTJ
