The Group : The Strategic Partnerships team works with a variety of leading index providers to support the integration of Sustainalytics' suite of research products and services within index processes. Our objective is to provide value added solutions alongside index expertise to further enhance ESG workflows in the indexing segment. The Role: The Strategic Partnership team is seeking an Index Relationship Senior Associate to act as a coordinator between Sustainalytics and third-party index providers with the aim to support the growth and management of these relationships. The role will focus on working with internal stakeholders to ensure the support and progress of our third-party index partners. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a growing ESG segment. This position allows you to obtain a thorough understanding of how ESG factors can be implemented into indexes and used by investors. There is the opportunity to work in a cross-cross-functional environment, quickly assume new responsibilities, and be a subject matter expert on a highly influential client segment among internal and external stakeholders alike. The position will report to the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships & Indexes. This position is based in our London or Frankfurt offices. Responsibilities Support a global relationship strategy for third-party index relationships. Manage Sustainalytics relationships and strategic cooperation with third-party index providers. Work with internal teams to advocate on behalf of your index client book. Become the internal SME for the index use case. Occasional travel to meet with internal teams & external clients. Qualifications At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the index or financial services industry. Degree in related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social sciences) or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience. Keen understanding of market developments as it relates to indexes. Strong understanding of information flow across the investment landscape. Strong analytical skills. Openness to developing strong understanding of ESG approaches. Strong project leadership skills and able to produce results in a cross-functional environment. Ability to work successfully in a global, dispersed team and company. Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience presenting to senior leaders. Self-motivated and able to work independently with ambiguity. Experience developing and executing an implementation plan for relationships, leading to growth. Ability to accommodate occasional travel across EMEA.
