The Entry-Level EDI Software Developer will report to the Vice President of Software Development & Project Manager and is based at 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland MS 39157. GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, implement, and maintain Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions and workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of EDI systems with our existing software applications. Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle, including design, documentation, and testing. Ensure adherence to industry standards, including HIPAA compliance for EDI processes. Create custom scripts and automate workflows to enhance EDI operations and minimize manual intervention. Set up and test new trading partner connections, including configuring protocols such as AS2, FTP, and SFTP. Troubleshoot EDI transaction issues with trading partners to ensure accurate data exchange. Work closely with business analysts and project managers to translate business requirements into technical EDI specifications. Maintain a repository of reusable code and common assets through Azure DevOps. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate should have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming or a related field, or equivalent training. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, particularly with C#. Advanced debugging skills in C# applications, with a focus on memory management and performance. Passion for user-centric design, coding standards, and clean coding practices. Ability to solve technical problems independently and collaborate with peers. Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or SCRUM methodology. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding sensitive data. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year working with large-scale applications. Experience in developing .NET and C# object-oriented applications. Familiarity with Microsoft Blazor and RESTful Web API development. Experience with Windows desktop applications using WPF or Windows Forms. Exposure to Microsoft Azure and DevOps practices. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Ability to manage time effectively while working independently. Skills in prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. JOB ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read, write, and speak English; Spanish is a plus. Basic typing skills are essential. Ability to work as scheduled and handle high-priority tasks. Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including lifting and carrying items up to 20lbs.
