A leading logistics organisation is seeking an experienced Head of AI to drive innovation and optimise operations through AI-driven solutions. This role offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge AI initiatives, enhance supply chain efficiencies, and develop predictive analytics models in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. This is a Contract opportunity but has the chance to go Permanent. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the AI strategy to optimise logistics and supply chain processes. Oversee the implementation of AI-driven solutions, including demand forecasting, route optimisation, warehouse automation, and computer vision for asset tracking. Lead a team of AI specialists, data scientists, and engineers. Work closely with stakeholders to integrate AI into core business operations. Ensure compliance with AI ethics, governance, and best practices. Stay ahead of industry advancements and emerging AI technologies in logistics. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a senior AI leadership role within logistics, supply chain, or a related industry. Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and optimisation algorithms. Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and NLP frameworks. Expertise in big data processing technologies such as Apache Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and AI/ML services (SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML). Knowledge of real-time analytics and IoT integration for logistics automation. Familiarity with graph databases, knowledge graphs, and AI-driven decision support systems. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
