Pricing Manager

Miryco Consultants is working with a top 10 UK retail insurer to help with their search for a Pricing Manager to join their motor pricing team. Responsibilities: Manage rate changes and implementation of new models and pricing algorithms. Manage the build process for predictive models using SAS, RADAR, EMBLEM, and other software packages. Help to shape the direction of the product with a forward-looking approach and willingness to experiment. Consider the impact on customers of pricing actions and act to avoid any unfair treatment. Proven history of mathematical research (either in academia or in industry) Play a key role in the production of suitable pricing performance monitoring. Strong people management skills. Experience: Possess an understanding of the full insurance pricing process and a range of statistical techniques for modelling. Proven history of mathematical research (either in academia or in industry) Experience in SQL, Python or is desirable. Python is preferred as you’ll be using this on a regular basis. Highly analytical with demonstrable previous experience within insurance pricing. Ability to demonstrate high levels of problem-solving skills and initiative. Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality Ability to plan and prioritise own work. Effective communication skills.
