Migrant Help are hosting an exciting and unique opportunity to recruit a Head of Project Management Office. This is a home-based role. You will be joining us on a full time, permanent and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum. The Head of Project Management Office role: The successful candidate will be a dynamic, detail-oriented leader. They will have demonstrable experience effectively leading and motivating high-performing teams to deliver successful project outcomes, with accountability for guiding and motivating the PMO team in all areas of successful project management delivery. The H PMO will also take full ownership of the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects and change initiatives that benefit Migrant Help and it's trading subsidiary. Key responsibilities of our Head of Project Management Office : Project Management Governance : Provide overall project management governance across the entire organisation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives Methodology Development and Adherence: Define and maintain the standard project management methodology and process, fostering best practices. Ensure project managers and teams adhere to the project methodology, disciplines and approaches for consistency Team leadership, talent development and motivation: Provide overall leadership and management to the PMO team, ensuring they support and enhance project delivery. In addition, you will play a key role in developing the PMO team's skills and behaviours through coaching, mentoring and training. You will also create and manage team performance objectives to grow both team members and the PMO function in line with Migrant Help's performance objectives and targets. Program Delivery Support : Support the successful delivery of programs through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting Documentation and Guidance : Be accountable for all project documentation and work alongside our Quality team to ensure efficiencies and appropriate document control, enabling effective and repeatable experiences of the project management cycle. Key Point of Contact : Act as the accountable owner for all active projects any program and project management queries, providing clear, concise briefings to the Senior Leadership Team as required. Strategic Change Initiatives: Drive change initiatives that support the strategic objectives of the organisation Resource Management: Oversee project resourcing and pipeline management for efficient project allocation. Set and redefine priorities and reorganise staff to increase response capacity to point-in-time internal and external demands Skills and experience we are looking for in our Head of Project Management Office: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualifications in Project and/or Change Management Project Management certifications (eg PRINCE2, PMP, APM, Agile, other) Other Qualifications/accreditations valued Knowledge and Experience Proven experience delivering projects and change management initiatives Experience delivering high-quality service to diverse stakeholder groups Experience measuring project performance and resource alignment Experience identifying and mitigating project risks Proficiency forecasting, planning and budgeting projects and change initiatives Experience developing and deploying staff efficiently to achieve excellent customer service Knowledge of emerging technologies and the ability to assess against bespoke business needs to recommend appropriate change, supported by PMO staff (inc. Business Analyst) What else to expect: Occasional travel (particularly Dover, London) is a requirement of the role and therefore flexibility will be required You will be working during core hours, however there may be occasion where it is necessary to work flexibly outside of these hours.
