Information Technology Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer (2nd Line) | Stone, Staffordshire | Up to £35,000 | SC Eligibility Required MERITUS are working with an expanding Industrial consultancy looking for an experienced Windows biased IT Support Engineer to join their helpdesk engineering team to provide internal support to employees & external support to their customers. If successful you will join a close knit support team providing 1st / 2nd line IT support to approximately 400 users. You will work to agreed SLA's aiming to resolve a mix of software / hardware issues & escalating to the 3rd line team where appropriate. The desktop environment is mostly Windows / Microsoft based & the successful candidate will have in depth experience supporting Windows desktop infrastructure including Active Directory, Office 365, Windows 10 / 11 as well as basic Windows Server / Networking fixes. The role is based on-site in Stone & requires eligibility for SC security clearance. Main Responsibilities: Providing 1st / 2nd line desktop support to Windows technologies (Windows 10/11, Active Directory. Office 365). Working via an ITIL based ticketing system to agreed SLA's. Working closely with senior engineers to escalate & resolve more complex server issues. Maintaining high service standards. Skills Required: In depth experience in 1st / 2nd line support of Windows desktop infrastructure (Active Directory, Office 365, Windows 10/11). Basic Windows Server knowledge. Exposure to ITIL, certifications would be a bonus. Experience working within a ticketing system & working to SLA's.
