Communications Executive Barristers’ Chambers Office City of London Basic Salary £40,000-45,000 dependant on experience plus a range of benefits including 25 days holiday, Pension 4%, Life Assurance x 4, BUPA healthcare, Health cash plan, Income protection, EAP, Lunch club once a month (free), bike to work scheme, season ticket loan, Hybrid working following probation Permanent, Full Time Our client a leading (award-winning) set of commercial barristers’ chambers based in the London is currently looking for a Communications Executive. The Role You will bring your exceptional creative, writing and design skills, to ensure we’re telling positive and influential stories about chambers and its members, and to continue delivering a great day-to-day service to all our colleagues. Responsibilities Get our stories out there: Manage day-to-day creation and publication of content across barrister’s chambers digital channels – principally: website, social media (predominantly LinkedIn), email marketing, intranet Keep the team connected: Manage a calendar of marketing activity Care and curate: Manage the creation and up-keep of content about chambers and its members on key external sites and platforms, including the legal directories Be our eyes and ears: Monitor the performance of social media channels and content, by barrister’s chambers, members and peers Foster our digital ecosystem: Provide advice, guidance and training to members on using social media channels and creating effective written content. Design and produce brand-led collateral for chambers and members as required Provide substantive support to chambers’ submissions to the legal directories, including coordinating members’ participation and input, and quality assurance across all submissions Serve as a brand guardian for applications of the barrister’s chambers visual identity across chambers and by external partners and stakeholders Support the publication process for substantive legal content (e.g. briefings) Provide general marketing support across all of the team’s activities, including cover for team absences Assist with EDI, CSR and charity activities, and actively support a positive working culture in chambers. Person Specification Essential Experience in a role requiring tactical and operational decision-making across a range of website and social media channels Exceptional written communication skills, including: writing and content for a variety of audience groups and purposes, including both formal or technical writing and short-form or informal writing editing content drafted by colleagues and external authors reinforcing and developing a brand style and tone of voice. Keen eye for detail, in text and visual designs Knowledge and experience in using social media to support business development in a B2B or professional services environment Experience using common website content management system (CMS) tools, including Wordpress Broad and tested range of skills across design and production of digital content and assets Skills and experience using Adobe Creative Suite software, and/or other common design and production software Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to influence and earn the confidence of all senior stakeholders The ability to balance diligent schedule management with the confidence and flexibility to adapt plans on the fly. Desirable Skills and experience creating dynamic digital content, such as video, audio and text animation Experience with submissions to legal directories Experience with SEO tools for monitoring and improving SEO performance Experience with paid-for campaign tools, online advertising and promoted posts To apply to this role of Communications Executive please send your CV
