We are searching for a C# .NET Software Developer to join an innovative and forward-thinking provider of fleet and asset management software. £45,000 - £55,000 pa , dependent on experience Remote/Hybrid – Occasional meetings in Tamworth office 25 days holiday Bank Holidays 1 extra day each year (up to 35 days) Excellent Career Progression KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Designing, developing, modifying, and maintaining our client’s range of software products in line with published standards and guidelines. Propose and assess solutions to design issues by identifying and evaluating new technologies and third-party components. Mentor and develop junior members of the team. Hold a natural curiosity and approach to learning new technologies relevant to the business. Interpret business requirements and technical specifications to complete estimates for change requests within established SLA’s. Gain an understanding of our client’s industry and customer base requirements and how they are met by our client’s product range. TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Essential: Proven experience developing Windows Forms applications with C# or VB.NET in a commercial environment. Web development experience in ASP.NET MVC Unit testing experience An ability to debug large, multi-solution, multi-layer projects. Object Oriented programming practices, SOLID principles and design patterns. SQL, Microsoft SQL Server (2012 onwards), relational database design and performance diagnostics, with an ability to write and optimise SQL queries. UK resident with unrestricted rights to work in the UK; please note we cannot offer sponsorship for overseas candidates. Desirable: Knowledge of Entity Framework Agile and Waterfall methodologies Web API, REST API and API Design Front-end: CSS3 & HTML Javascript Frameworks, specifically Knockout (Javascript MVVM frameworks) An understanding of security considerations when designing and developing public-facing applications and API endpoints.
