Configuration Management Specialist

Marketers on Demand is recruiting for a Configuration Management Specialist who will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Configuration Management functions in assigned projects/products, to assure consistency in application of Configuration Management principles and change control processes over the lifecycle of a project/product. Key Responsibilities: Describes, implements and maintains the fundamental activities within the relevant Configuration Management Plan Be involved with configuration Management and planning, configuration identification, configuration control and configuration status accounting Implements the Configuration Management system for the project/product Ensures consistency of information in the configuration management system for the project/ product Participates in creation of Product Breakdown Structure Ensures proper use of PLM system and end to end implementation of the CM practices Specifies to sub-contractors and suppliers the CM requirements through Statement of Work Key Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering 5 years of experience in monitoring Systems, Software/Hardware development Working experience with PLM systems such as Windchill/Palma Working experience of CM practices and principles Knowledge of any of the following would be an asset: Microsoft Access, Visual Studio, DOORS, ClearCase/GIT, ClearQuest/JIRA, ERP Please note, this is a one year contract with a chance of extension.
