Operations Engineer

Due to significant growth in new projects, I am working with one of Edinburgh's household names as they look to grow their operations team from 5 to 6. This is a fairly new and established team, with plenty of room for growth. They are looking for someone experienced across Windows systems and ideally VMWare. Any experience with Azure type technologies would be a plus, though not mandatory. As part of the role you will be responsible for: System monitoring and Maintenance – Ensuring that systems are operating efficiently. Incident Management – 3rd/4th Level technical escalation. Infrastructure management – Manage and maintain the company Infrastructure. Back-up and Recovery – Maintaining backup procedures, testing back-up and running DR exercises. Capacity Planning – Monitoring system usage and trends, scaling, and growing infrastructure to meet needs. The role is paying up to £60,000 and carries a comprehensive benefits plan, which includes a bonus.
