Senior Project Manager

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for 1-year term contract with its Ottawa based customer. Work Location Hybrid – 2x/day on site a week HQ in Ottawa or Toronto Key Tasks • Plan, execute, and manage IT projects from initiation to completion. • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. • Facilitate communication and collaboration between IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. • Utilize project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall to ensure efficiency. • Manage change requests, risks, and dependencies effectively. • Track project performance and provide regular status reports to leadership and stakeholders. • Implement and maintain best practices for IT project management. Key Qualifications • 5-7 years of experience conducting and building test plans for complex applications • 5-7 years of experience with IT infrastructure, software development, cloud technologies, or cybersecurity projects. • Experienced in building plans, managing requirements and deliverables with third parties Qualifications: • Bachelor's or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. • 5 years of experience in IT project management. • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.). • Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, Trello, MS Project, Asana, etc.). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM (preferred).
