INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER (OPENSHIFT) The Company This leading IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management partner for asset intensive organizations worldwide is keen to recruit a Maximo Consultant. As one of the few Maximo partners providing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Performance Management (APM) expertise across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, it combines a local presence with global expertise to deliver tailored asset management solutions and trusted partnerships wherever they are on your maintenance journey. In addition to the elements outlined below, the Openshift Engineer will need to undergo relevant security clearance (SC or DV). It is also expected that there will be periods where frequent travel to customer sites in London will be required. The company is not in a position to provide sponsorship . The Position As an Openshift Engineer, you will play an integral part in the environment and infrastructure design, builds and troubleshooting, prior to the core Maximo application installation. Specific Responsibilities: Responsible for working alongside the Application team (Maximo Consultants or Developers) to ensure the correct infrastructure environment is in place for customers and their varying needs. This will involve the installation of OpenShift (and adjacent technologies) both on clients’ own infrastructure and on their cloud platform of choice. Key elements of the role will include, but are not limited to: - Infrastructure Design and Implementation - Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions - System Administration - Security and Compliance - Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure related problems - Documentation and Reporting - Provide input for capacity planning and infrastructure roadmaps. The Candidate As a potentially suitable candidate you will ideally be a Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration and will have comprehensive Redhat OpenShift knowledge including the build of both 'bare metal' and cloud based clusters. In addition you should have strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration, experience with CI/CD tools and processes and familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
